According to Wikipedia the definition of Holistic health is as follows:
Holistic health (or holistic medicine) is a diverse field of alternative medicine in which the "whole person" is focused on, not just the malady itself. The holistic concept in medical practice, which is distinct from the concept in the alternative medicine, upholds that all aspects of people's needs including psychological, physical and social should be taken into account and seen as a whole.
When I began my journey of healing the only thing I really knew was that the body has the ability to heal itself, my intention was to learn as much as I could about healing the body. As I have completed each of my certifications I have found a whole-body approach to disease and healing. For me Holistic health is approaching Dis-ease on a whole-body level and returning chaos back to order. This is something that doesn't happen overnight, after all the Dis-ease didn't happen overnight, but will happen gradually with consistent effort

Nutrition - proper nutrition provides your body with all the necessary building blocks and energy it needs to repair and heal
Fitness - your body requires movement to get rid of the junk it is storing and helps the body become more efficient
Mindfulness - allows your brain to focus on healing and putting things back in order instead of dealing with chaos. Meditation, Yoga, Journaling, and overall awareness fall into this category
Sleep - this is the foundation of physical health and mental energy. During sleep your body recovers, restores energy levels, and rebuilds damaged cells in the body.
